| The best performing team(s) of those 11 was named UIC Winner 2008 and received the usual UEFA Intertoto Cup trophy. In the UEFA Cup campain 2008/2009, the best performing team was Sporting Club de Braga. They went as far as to play the round of the last 16, where they lost to Paris St-Germain FC.
With Deportivo, Aston Villa, Rennes, Stuttgart, Napoli, Rosenborg, Braga and Vaslui, 8 of the 11 qualified teams reached the main round of the UEFA Cup. Deportivo, Aston Villa, Stuttgart and Braga are the last 4 remaining in the UEFA Cup Round of Last 32 and will therefore fight for becoming the Overall UIC Winner 2008/2009. SC Braga (POR) is the overall winner of the 2008/2009 UIC campain. Congratulations! |
