In the Middle Ages the Croatian, later Croatian-Hungarian kings held their reunions in Bihac. Afterwards the city was taken by Turkish sultans, belonged to Bosnia-Herzegovina and was ruled by the Serbs up to the recent war. After the war, the Bosnian republic was separated in a Croatian and a Serbian part. From the 1994/95 season the Bosnian clubs played under the flag of the Bosnia-Herzegowina Football Association, but they were separated in three different championships. The UEFA wants the Croat, Bosnian and Serbian clubs to play against each other in the playoffs, but so far the Serbs have said no to this plan. In former Yugoslavia, Jedinstvo were one of the top clubs in second league. A defensively interpreted 3-5-2-system with quick counter-attacks characterise the style of play. In attack, Halim Stupac and Miroslav Dujmovic form a dangerous pair. The latter is technically skilled and physically strong. He was called 20 times to the U21 selection, whereas Miroslav Tomic and Elvis Mehadzic belong to the squad of the national team. The key figure in defence is goalkeeper Edin Tucakovic. The UIC games will be attended by 10,000 fans supporting Jedinstvo. -ba
In Bihac hielten im Mittelalter kroatische, später kroatisch-ungarische Könige ihren Reichstag ab. Die Stadt ging in die Hände türkischer Sultane über, gehörte Bosnien-Herzegowina und stand zuletzt unter serbischem Regime. Nach Kriegsende wurde die Republik Bosnien in einen kroatischen und serbischen Teil getrennt. Ab der Saison 1994/95 spielten die bosnischen Teams unter der Flagge des Verbandes von Bosnien-Herzegowina. Verschiedenstämmige Klubs trugen aber drei separate Meisterschaften aus. Unter dem Druck der UEFA sollten kroatische, bosnische und serbische Vereine in den Playoffs zusammengeführt werden, was bisher am Veto Serbiens scheiterte. Unter jugoslawischer Herrschaft hatte Jedinstvo zur Spitze in der 2. Liga gehört. Ein defensiv ausgelegtes 3-5-2-System mit schnellen Gegenstössen prägen derzeit sein Spiel. Den Angriff bilden Halim Stupac und Miroslav Dujmovic. Dieser ist technisch gut ausgebildet und körperlich stark. Der Freistossspezialist wurde 20mal in die U21-Auswahl berufen. Die Aussenläufer Miroslav Tomic und Elvis Mehadzic gehören dem weiteren Kader des Nationalteams an. Die Schlüsselfigur in der Defensive ist Goalie Edin Tucakovic.
