In the fall, assistant coach Stanislav Kocourek ousted his boss Ladislav Skorpil. Hradec Kralove try to score with a defensive 4-4-2 system. They quickly bridge midfield with long balls to the strikers. The attack depend heavily on the 30 year old Frantisek Koubek, who ranked fourth in the scorer list with his eleven goals. After playing with Sparta Prague and in the J-League, veteran Pavel Cerny returned to the team in black and white three years ago. Meanwhile he is only a substitute. Schemer Richard Jukl and Jaroslav Michalicka (SVK) with his strength in the air are the outstanding players of a team, which lack personalities. The owner and president is Dr. Jan Voda, who makes money with selling medicaments in Oklahoma (USA), which does not make Hradec Kralove a rich club, as they do not draw a large crowd. Despite their cup win in 1995 the club have not succeeded in getting rid of their loser image. -ba
Assistent Stanislav Kocourek verdrängte im Herbst seinen Chef Ladislav Skorpil auf dem Trainerstuhl. Hradec Kralove sucht sein Heil in einem defensiven 4-4-2-System. Mit langen Bällen aus der Verteidigung heraus wird das Mittelfeld rasch überbrückt. Die Angriffsleistungen sind stark von jenen des 30jährigen Frantisek Koubek abhängig. Mit elf Treffern belegte er letzte Saison den 4. Rang im Torschützenklassement. Veteran Pavel Cerny kehrte vor drei Jahren nach Gastspielen bei Sparta Prag und in der J-League zu den Weiss-Schwarzen zurück. Mittlerweilen ist er nur noch Ersatz. Spielmacher Richard Jukl und der kopfballstarke Jaroslav Michalicka (SVK) sind die auffälligsten Spieler in einem Team, dem es an Persönlichkeiten fehlt. Besitzer und Präsident ist Dr. Jan Voda, der im US-Staat Oklahoma mit Arzneimitteln gutes Geld verdient. Deshalb ist Hradec Kralove, das einen geringen Zuschauerzuspruch hat, noch lange kein reicher Verein. Trotz dem Cupsieg 1995 ist es dem Klub bisher nicht gelungen, sein Verlierer-Image abzulegen. -lb
