The 140,000 inhabitants make Tiraspol the second largest city in Moldavia. Tiligul used to play in the First Division of the Soviet Union under the name of Piscevic. Since the creation of the Moldavian League in 1992, Tiligul were the runner-ups on seven occasions, most of the times behind Constructorul Kishinew. This year they did not even reach second place due to the lack of offensive potential. Midfield and defence did their defending job perfectly, but they failed to support the two strikers. Tiligul have four internationals: goalkeeper Evgeny Khmaruk, defender Serghei Stroenko, midfielder Serghei Belous and striker Anatoli Luchiancicov. In the 1995/96 season Vladimir Kosse scored 28 goals in 32 games, but in the meantime the 31 year old striker is not as dangerous as he was then. Coach Alexandru Spiridon, who goes into his third year, was forced to retire from active football in 1995, when he broke his leg, playing in midfield with Nistru, today's Zimbru Kishinew. -ba
Mit 140'000 Einwohnern ist Tiraspol die zweitgrösste Stadt Moldawiens. Tiligul spielte unter dem Gründungsnamen Piscevic verschiedentlich in der ersten Division der UdSSR. Seit der Entstehung der moldawischen Liga im Jahr 1992 belegte Tiligul siebenmal Rang 2, meistens hinter Constructorul Kischinew. Dieses Jahr reichte es wegen fehlendem Offensivpotential nicht einmal zum Vizemeistertitel. Das Mittelfeld und die Abwehr erfüllten ihre defensiven Aufgaben zwar mit Bravour, unterstützten die beiden Stürmer aber zuwenig. Der Nationalmannschaft gehören Goalie Evgeny Khmaruk, Verteidiger Serghei Stroenko, Mittelfeldspieler Serghei Belous und Stürmer Anatoli Luchiancicov an. Vladimir Kosse schoss in der Saison 1995/96 in 28 Meisterschaftspartien 32 Tore. Der 31jährige hat mittlerweilen von seiner Gefährlichkeit eingebüsst. Trainer Alexandru Spiridon, der sein drittes Amtsjahr in Angriff nimmt, musste seine Aktivkarriere wegen eines Beinbruchs 1995 beenden.
